Evaluasi Karakteristik Campuran Aspal Beton (AC-WC) Hasil Core Dari Lapangan Berdasarkan Uji Marshall

Abstract
Premature damage to Asphalt Concrete-Wearing Course (AC-WC) pavements still frequently occurs even though the service life has not yet reached five years. This study aims to evaluate the characteristics of the AC-WC mixture from the core of Jalan Sei Kijang based on the Marshall test to determine the suitability of the mixture quality to the 2018 Bina Marga specifications. Core samples were taken from three locations, then tested in the laboratory for the parameters of bulk density, Void in the mixture (VIM), Void in Mineral Aggregate (VMA), Void Filled With Asphalt (VFWA), stability, flow, and Marshall Quotient (MQ). The test results showed that all Marshall parameters had met the requirements, with an average value of stability of 812.6 kg, flow 2.57 mm, MQ 318.46 kg/mm, VIM 3.31%, VFWA 75.98%, bulk density 2.31 g/cm, and VMA 15.81%. Thus, the AC-WC mixture from the core was declared to be in accordance with the standard and was not the main factor causing premature damage. Damage may be caused by other factors such as poor drainage, excessive traffic loads, or improper construction practices.References
