Abstract

This study  to explore the implementation of legal protection for refurbished iPhone consumers in Padang and to understand the responsibilities of business entities regarding the circulation of refurbished iPhones in the same city. The research has theoretical and practical benefits. The qualitative method is employed in this study, utilizing the Consumer Protection Law No. 8 of 1999 as a guideline. Research findings indicate that the implementation of legal protection for refurbished iPhone consumers in Padang is adequate to safeguard consumer rights, although it is not fully effective in practice. Some consumers remain dissatisfied with the quality and accountability of refurbished iPhone business entities. The responsibilities of these business entities involve providing warranties for refurbished iPhones, typically ranging from one week to one month, limited to repairs such as battery, screen, and camera services
